Luminary United Methodist Church hosted the Midway High School Baccalaureate on May 9, 2022. In addition to providing a spacious environment decked out in the school colors and symbols for receiving the graduates and families for this special service, several Luminary Church members also provide food and drink for more than 100 family members and graduates following the service. The baccalaureate service include several members of the surrounding community. Reverend Wayne Hedrick welcomed the students and families on behalf of the Luminary Church, Mr. Emmett Hegland Class President, welcomed the class; Ms. Lexis Curtis lead the Prayer of Invocation; Ms. Karen Malone provided special music on the piano; Reverend Cal Adams provided the message to the graduates, “Oh, The Places You Will Go”; and Mrs. Karen Parkison lead the benediction. The processional and recessional music was provided by Mr. David Westrich and the Midway High School Ensemble. The entire service was streamed to the Luminary United Methodist Church YouTube channel.
