New Evening Bible Study Opportunity
A six session DVD supported bible study will begin in early May 2022 based on the book “Breaking the Code” by Bruce Metzger and David DeSilva. Sensationalists have turned the symbolism of the Apocalypse into a secret code that unravels the meaning of contemporary events. However, these authors faithfully and brilliantly elucidate the significance of the bizarre, frightening images in John’s triumphant message of hope. The sessions include:
John’s Vision (9:55 minutes), Letters to Churches (10:18), God, the Lamb, and Seven Seals (8:56), Trumpets (8:21), Babylon and Seven Bowls (8:34), New Heaven and New Earth (8:56)
Classes will be offered both on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in the church library and participation on zoom is possible if requested. Participants will be responsible for purchasing their own “Breaking the Code” student guide. This can be obtained for $11.99 at Cokesbury Book Store.
Contact the church office at 865-376-7040 to be added to the email list to be updated on session start date and to receive invitations for participation through zoom.
