Tuesday Evening Bible Study
Participate in bible studies for a mixed group of men and women both in-person and through Zoom at 7 pm most Tuesday evenings. A new study will begin on Tuesday September 28, 2021. It will be a video-based study of 5 sessions based on the movie “Overcomer”.

Thursday Evening Bible Study
This is a men’s bible study group that meets both in-person and through Zoom at 7 pm most Thursday evenings. Contact the church office at 865-466-7040 for the current information about this group.
Pickle Ball – 10 a.m. every Wednesday a group of active adults, men and women, meet to play pickle ball. Newcomers are welcome.
Zumba – 9:30 – 10:30 each Tuesday and Thursday a group of women meet to share the joy of moving to music. The class is led by Denise Van Norman and only costs $5 per session. Anyone from the community is welcome.
10 a.m. to 12 noon on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month: The Sewing/Quilting Group meets to enjoy doing sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, embroidery and other handy work as a group activity. Many of the items are created in support of missions; bring a bag lunch. Contact Joyce Woody at (865) 376-7040 for more information.
The Chancel Choir practices Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary. The choir leads the worship music for the 10:30 a.m. traditional service and also normally performs an anthem during that service. New participants in the choir are always being sought. The Choir Director, Roxanne Cabrera-Blaine, also teaches music at a local Knox County school.
Community Potluck Dinner
The potluck dinner is held at 6 pm on the third Wednesday of each month in the Fellowship Hall for good food and fellowship. This is an opportunity to invite friends and neighbors from the community to share the love and support found at Luminary United Methodist Church.
